Since retiring from SNC-Lavalin in 2016, Michael has provided consulting services to the power generation industry. This has primarily been support of development of a 750MW combined cycle cogeneration project located in the MISO region. Role includes providing leadership to develop the project basis, develop schedules, initiate permitting, develop owners engineer bid packaged, bid and award owner’s engineer, develop the EPC bid packaged, bid and award the EPC, develop insurance program requirements, selection of a financial advisor, and development of the project proforma for bidding into the market. President, SNC-Lavalin Constructors, Inc. Mike worked in the power business for over 30 years, first with NEPCO, a US company based in the Seattle, WA area in 1985 and then through acquisition with SNC-Lavalin in 2002. He has held positions in engineering, construction, commissioning, project management and executive management. In 1996, he was appointed Vice President, Project Management, Sr. VP, Operations in 2002 and became President in 2006. His experience includes projects in six of the seven continents. Michael holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and obtained a license as a Professional Engineer. In addition to the presidency of SNC-Lavalin Constructors, Michael also was responsible for SNC-Lavalin’s Thermal Power division worldwide and part of the SNC-Lavalin Executive Management Team. The Thermal Power division was the center of excellence for all thermal power opportunities that span the entire SNC-Lavalin family of companies. Michael’s responsibilities also included leading 3 major internationally based full service execution offices in Canada, Poland and Thailand.
